WHERE DOES THE NAME COME FROM?
The word “ballistics” is defined as the study of the motion of projectiles. Since we utilize our body’s natural weapons (fists, feet, etc.) as projectiles in a way, using the term “ballistic” made sense. Add in the concepts framed within Sir Isaac Newton’s three laws of motion – Velocity, Acceleration & Mass (VAM), and you can see where we got the idea for the full name. We apply the 3 laws of motion in our training and strive to bring them to a higher level than most people are accustomed to.
WHY THE INTENSITY?
In the streets, no one slows down for you. We teach mindset, concepts, tactics, and tools, but those need to be backed up by strength, speed, and stamina. Our intense training shows you how your gross motor skills work for you under pressure, and builds the physical skills you need to prevail.
DO YOU COVER WEAPONS?
Yes we do! We incorporate B3 Urban Tools (weapons) training in order to teach the importance of movement. We can even teach you how to use everyday objects as improvised defensive tools if you find yourself in need. If you can pick it up, we can probably teach you to defend yourself with it.
WHERE DO WE TRAIN?
Training takes place both indoors and outdoors, in both open and confined places. We vary the lighting, from full light, to low light (and sometimes even to no light), and we include other environmental distractions. We train you to maintain focus under any circumstance and use the environment to your benefit. These training experiences will keep you safe in the real world.
WHAT ARE SOME BENEFITS OF BALLISTIC 3?
WHAT IS A TYPICAL STUDENT LIKE? WILL I FIT IN?
We attract a wide variety of men/women who share the desire to increase their self-confidence and ability to realistically defend themselves and their loved ones. Participants typically include Military and Law Enforcement personnel, homemakers, high school/college students, athletes, artists, professionals, etc.
IS THERE A RANKING SYSTEM IN BALLISTIC 3?
Yes, in B3 the student will learn a new set of skills at each training level. Unlike in traditional systems, belts are not worn here, but instead B3 uses silicon wrist bands to recognize student achievement. Rank and testing is part of our B3 program, but is optional, as we understand everyone has different goals. However we always encourage students to test, as it does give you a sense of accomplishment. In the end, however, we want to offer you real world solutions…not just a colored wristband.
